Basic Eyeshadow Application!

I realized after blogging about two different looks, for those who are fairly new to makeup, I should probably explain some basic eyeshadow application techniques.  I keep writing reminders to use darker colours on the outer corners and lighter colours in the inner corners and BLEND!  But what does all this really mean??  This may clear things up a little.

STEP 1:
After applying your eyeshadow primers (I like MAC Prep and Prime with paintpot over it) over the entire surface of your eyelids, the first colour you should apply is your medium base colour.  Apply it over the eyelid but stop at where you feel the bone of your eye socket.

STEP 2:
Blend to soften the hard edges!

STEP 3:
Apply the darkest colour to the outer corners of your eyes!

STEP 4:

Blend to soften the hard edges and to fade it into the first colour!

STEP 5:
Apply the lightest colour on the inner corners of the eyes, just above your lashes, right on the corners and right below the lower lash line.

STEP 6:
Blend to soften the hard edges!

STEP 7:
Apply the same light colour as you did in the inner corners but this time on your brow bone, just below your eyebrows!

STEP 8:
That's right!!!  Blend to soften the hard edges and to let it fade into the colour below it so that all the colours now melt together!

STEP 9:
Almost there!!!  This is what it looks like all together!

STEP 10:
Apply eyeliner, mascara and eyebrow pencil!  Voila!!!  You are done!!!!

Important tips:

1) You can apply this technique to any colour combination you choose!!!

2) CLEAN UP YOUR EYEBROWS, it'll look so much nicer.  I know...I'm so in need of an eyebrow cleanup myself!!!
